Easy pasture tours and flowing mountain trails, short day trips and challenging multi-day tours take you to the region’s most beautiful spots and the panoramic peaks in the environs. All routes have one thing in common: spectacular views of the awe-inspiring mountain peaks of the South Tyrolean Alps, including Sciliar/Schlern, Sassolungo/Langkofel, and Sasso Piatto/Plattkofel. Numerous huts along the way promise well-earned rest and a delicious energy boost.

Sella Ronda is possibly the most famous bike route in the Alps and takes racing bike pros and mountain bike enthusiasts over four Dolomite passes around the Sella Group. People who are new to climbing or want to refresh their skills can join one of the many guided climbing tours, while pros can explore the mountain realm on their own.

Whether you’re young or old, riding beginner or advanced rider, we recommend you pay a visit to the riding stables in Telfs/Kastelruth, which is just a 15-minute drive away from Hotel Urthaler. Here, you can enjoy exciting accompanied rides or learn the basics of horse-riding.
Just a few minutes away from our hotel on Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, you’ll find one of Italy’s most wonderful golf courses: St. Vigil Seis Golf Club, which is playable from April to November. The 18-hole course (par 70) offers stunning views of the Dolomites, extends over 60 hectares, and has a driving range, putting & pitching green, bunkers, PGA Professionals golf school, club house, and restaurant.
